Description and cover art
Write a clear show description and upload cover art that meets podcast directory requirements.
Your description and cover art are the first things a listener sees in a podcast app. They also decide whether your show is accepted by directories like Apple Podcasts and Spotify. You can edit both from your show at any time.
Your description
Open your show and edit its description. A good description tells a new listener, in a sentence or two, what the show is and why they should press play. You can write as much as you like, but the opening lines matter most because many apps show only the first part.
Write for a listener who has never heard of you. What is the show about, who is it for, and what will they get from an episode?
Cover art
Your cover art travels with your feed to every app, so it needs to meet the standard podcast artwork requirements.
Shape and size
Square, between 1400 and 3000 pixels on each side. 3000 by 3000 is ideal.
File type
JPG or PNG, in RGB colour.
To add or change it, open your show and upload your image where the cover art is shown. It updates on your show page and in your feed.
Keep important text and faces near the centre. Apps display your cover at many sizes, from a large feature tile down to a tiny list thumbnail.
