Migrate an existing podcast
Move your existing show to Budapest.fm from another host. We import your episodes and re-host your audio.
Already have a podcast on another host? You can bring it to Budapest.fm without losing your back catalogue. We import your episodes from your current RSS feed and re-host your audio on our own engine, so you can leave your old host behind.
How migration works
Give us your current feed
When you set up your show, enter the RSS feed address of your existing podcast. You can find this in your current host's dashboard.
We import your episodes
Budapest.fm reads your feed and recreates your episodes here, with their titles, show notes, and artwork. Your show details and cover art come across too.
We re-host your audio
In the background we copy each episode's audio onto our own hosting and CDN, so every episode plays from Budapest.fm rather than your old host.
Import is safe to run more than once. If new episodes arrive on your old feed before you finish moving, importing again simply adds the new ones.
After the import
Once your episodes are re-hosted, you can publish new episodes on Budapest.fm as normal. The last step of any migration is to point your listeners at your new feed.
To keep your existing subscribers, most hosts offer a feed redirect that sends your old feed to your new one. Set that up on your old host once your episodes are safely imported here, so subscribers move across without doing anything.
