Buy prepaid AI credits when you need extra capacity, use the monthly credits included with your hosting plan, and check costs before you run any AI Studio action. AI Studio uses your monthly credits first, then prepaid credits, so you can stay organised as work scales across episodes and teams.
Before you start
- You need an active Budapest.fm account, or you can create one during checkout when buying prepaid credits.
- Hosting plans include monthly credits: Solo 250, Slate 1,000, and Syndicate 3,000. These reset monthly.
- You can buy prepaid credits without a hosting plan.
- Prepaid credit packs are available in 500, 2,000, and 6,000 credits, and prepaid credits do not expire.
Two kinds of credits
AI Studio uses two separate credit balances. Knowing which balance you are using helps you plan recurring production work and one-off projects more confidently.
Monthly credits
Hosting plans include monthly credits that reset each month:
- Solo: 250 credits
- Slate: 1,000 credits
- Syndicate: 3,000 credits
Use monthly credits for your regular workflow when your hosting plan already covers most of your production needs.
Prepaid credits
Prepaid credits give you extra capacity without changing your hosting plan. Choose from 500, 2,000, or 6,000 credits, and those credits do not expire.
Prepaid credits also work for customers who do not have a hosting plan. If you only need AI Studio credits, you can buy a prepaid pack on its own.
Which credits are used first
AI Studio uses monthly credits first and then uses prepaid credits after your monthly balance runs out. That order helps you use resetting credits before drawing from credits that stay in your balance.

Open the pricing page to see current pack prices. Prices can change, so always use the pricing page rather than relying on saved amounts.

Go to the Budapest.fm pricing page and find the prepaid AI credit options.
Choose your pack size
Select the pack that fits your workload:
- 500 credits
- 2,000 credits
- 6,000 credits
If you are buying for a short project or a small number of episodes, start with a smaller pack. If you are planning regular transcription, translation, or narration work, a larger pack may suit you better.
Sign in or create your account
If you are already signed in, continue to checkout with your account.
If you are signed out, create your Budapest.fm account during the purchase journey. After account creation, you return securely to the credit pack you selected so you can complete checkout without starting again.
Complete payment
Finish payment using the checkout flow shown on the pricing page. Payment is handled securely.
Confirm your balance
Your prepaid credits are added to your balance after purchase. Once payment completes, you can return to AI Studio and start work immediately.
A successful purchase means your updated credit balance is visible in your account.
How credits are spent
You always see the credit cost before you confirm an AI Studio action. That lets you decide whether to continue before anything is processed.
When you start an action, AI Studio reserves the required credits first. If the work finishes successfully, those reserved credits are committed to the completed action.
If the work fails, AI Studio returns the reserved credits to your balance. Failed work does not permanently consume credits.
What happens next
After you buy prepaid credits, they are available immediately in your balance. You can use them straight away for supported AI Studio actions.
Your prepaid credits stay available until you use them. Monthly credits reset each month, so your balance can change over time even if you do not buy another pack.

Troubleshooting
My credits are not showing
Refresh the page first and check whether your payment confirmation has arrived. If payment completed successfully, your updated balance should appear shortly afterwards.
If the balance still has not updated after a short wait, contact support with your payment confirmation so the team can help you check the purchase.
Credits were deducted for failed work
Failed work should return reserved credits to your balance. Wait a moment, then check your balance again.
If the credits do not return after a short delay, contact support with the details of the action that failed.
I cannot complete payment for credits
Check your payment details and try the purchase again from the pricing page. If the issue continues, contact us so we can help you complete the purchase.
