Use the private episode workspace to review AI production drafts, manage credits, and approve episode content before anything is published.
Produce and review episode drafts in one private workspace
Use the episode workspace to turn an uploaded episode into production-ready content before you publish anything. From the workspace, you can review synchronized transcripts, create Episode Copy Packs, produce translated editions, and check AI narration while keeping every draft private until you approve it.
Before you start
- You need at least one episode with audio uploaded.
- You need AI credits in your balance. Each plan includes a monthly allowance: 250 on Solo, 1,000 on Slate, and 3,000 on Syndicate. You can add prepaid credits from the pricing page.
- Standard episode uploads are opt-in for AI processing.
- Transcript work and other AI tasks only start after you review and confirm the exact credit quote.
What is the episode workspace
The episode workspace is a private production area attached to each episode. It is where you prepare and review AI-generated work before deciding what belongs on the published episode.
Inside the workspace, you can review synchronized transcripts with real timestamps, playback highlighting, and editable speaker assignments. You can also create Episode Copy Packs, produce translated editions, and review AI narration for supported workflows.
Nothing in the workspace is published until you approve it. Drafts remain private to you and your team, and tools only appear when they are enabled for your account.
Translated content must be paired with its alternate-language counterpart before publication. If you publish an AI-voiced edition, only the edition that is actually AI voiced is labelled that way.
Working in the workspace
Open the episode
Start from a show that already has audio uploaded. Open the episode you want to work on.
Enter the private workspace
Go to the episode workspace to see the production tools available for that episode. The workspace stays separate from the public episode until you review and approve changes.
Choose a production task
Pick the task you want to run, such as creating a synchronized transcript, generating an Episode Copy Pack, preparing a translated edition, or reviewing AI narration. Standard uploads are not processed automatically, so you choose what to create.
Review the result
After processing finishes, check the draft in the workspace. For transcripts, review the timing, playback highlighting, and speaker assignments. For copy and translated content, confirm that the draft matches the episode and is ready for the next stage.
Approve what should be attached to the episode
Approve the draft when you are satisfied with it. Approved content is attached to the episode, but nothing publishes automatically.
What happens next
After you approve a draft, the approved content is attached to the episode and becomes available for the relevant publishing workflow. Unapproved drafts remain in the workspace so you can continue reviewing or revising them later.
The workspace does not publish anything on its own. Drafts stay private until they are reviewed and approved, and publication only happens as part of the separate publishing step for that content type.
Billing and privacy
AI production tasks use credits. Before any processing starts, you see and confirm the exact credit quote for that task.
The episode workspace is private to you and your team. Nothing created there is published automatically, and drafts stay private until you review and approve them.
Episode Copy Packs are charged at 50 credits for the original language and 40 credits for each additional language.
Troubleshooting
I do not see the workspace
If you cannot find the workspace for an episode, AI features may not be enabled for your account yet. The workspace and its tools only appear when your account has access to those production features.
A tool is missing from the workspace
Tools appear only when they are enabled for your account. If you can see the workspace but not a specific production tool, that tool has not been turned on yet for your team.
My draft disappeared
Drafts are saved in the episode workspace, not published directly to the public episode. Return to the episode and check its private workspace again to find transcript, copy, translation, or narration drafts that still need review.
