Before you start
- You need a Budapest.fm account with AI features enabled.
- You need AI credits in your balance.
- Hosting plans include monthly credits: Solo 250, Slate 1,000, and Syndicate 3,000. These reset monthly.
- You can also buy prepaid credit packs of 500, 2,000, and 6,000 credits from the pricing page. Prepaid credits do not expire.
- You can buy prepaid credits even if you do not have a hosting plan.

You can move from source material to review-ready drafts without switching between separate workflows. When you need more capacity, AI Studio works alongside the credit packs available on the pricing page so you can keep production moving without hard-coding spend into your process.

How credits work
AI Studio uses two kinds of credits: included monthly credits and prepaid credits. Included credits come with hosting plans, reset monthly, and do not carry over if you do not use them.
Prepaid credits are better for larger batches of work or less predictable usage. They do not expire, and Budapest.fm uses them after your monthly allowance has been used.
Before any AI task starts, Budapest.fm shows the exact credit quote for that action so you can confirm the cost before processing begins. When you approve the task, credits are reserved first, committed only after the work finishes successfully, and returned if the work fails.
What happens next
Once AI Studio is available on your account, you can start creating transcripts, building Episode Copy Packs, producing translated editions, creating reusable voices, and reviewing narration drafts. AI Studio is designed for review-first production, so you can check each result before deciding what to keep.
Draft narration stays private until you review and approve it. The same private review model applies across AI Studio, so your workspace stays organised and nothing is published automatically.

Troubleshooting
I do not see AI Studio
AI Studio appears only when AI features are enabled for your account. If AI Studio is missing, confirm that you are signed in to the correct Budapest.fm account and check whether AI access has been enabled for that account.
My credit balance seems wrong
Check whether your monthly credits have already reset or whether your current cycle is still in progress. If you recently added prepaid credits, confirm that the purchase completed and then refresh your account view to see the updated balance.
If a task was running recently, some credits may still be reserved while the work finishes. Budapest.fm commits reserved credits only after success and returns them after failed work is recognised.
A tool is missing from AI Studio
Not every AI tool appears on every account. If synchronised transcripts, Episode Copy Packs, translated editions, AI narration, or reusable voices are missing, that tool has not been enabled for your account yet.
