Voice CollectionSubmit a recording

Submit a recording from a phone or computer

Send a voice recording from your phone or computer in a few minutes, review it before submitting, and know what happens next.

Send your recording from any supported browser

Use the recorder link shared by the organisation to record your response on your phone or computer, listen back before you send it, and submit it when you are ready.

Before you start

  • Use a supported browser on your phone or computer.
  • No app is required.
  • You need the recorder link shared by the organisation.
  • Find a quiet place and set aside a few minutes to record.

How to submit a recording

Open the recorder link in your browser

Open the link the organisation sent you on your phone or computer. The branded web recorder opens in your browser, so you do not need to install anything first.

Read the invitation and consent language

Check the invitation so you understand what the organisation is asking for. Before you record, read the consent language carefully so you know how your submission may be reviewed and used.

Allow microphone access in your browser

When your browser asks for microphone access, allow it so the recorder can capture your voice. If you block access, the recorder cannot start.

A successful setup usually shows that the recorder is ready and your microphone is available.

Record your response

Answer the question in your own voice. Speak clearly, keep a steady distance from your microphone, and pause for a moment before you start speaking if you want a cleaner beginning.

If you make a mistake, record again if the recorder offers that option before submission.

Review your recording before submitting

Listen back to your recording before you send it. Check that your voice is clear, the full response was captured, and there is no distracting background noise.

This is the best time to catch problems before your submission is sent.

Submit your recording

Submit the recording when you are happy with it. After submission, the recording is sent to the organisation's private Voice inbox for review.

A successful submission usually shows a confirmation message or a completed state in the recorder.

What happens next

Your recording goes to the organisation's private Voice inbox, where their team can review it before deciding what to do with it. Nothing becomes public automatically.

For Budapest.fm Voice guest submissions, transcription happens automatically when the recording arrives in Voice. The organisation's team can then review both the recording and its transcript as part of their normal workflow.

Privacy and billing

Your recording stays private until the organisation's team decides what to do with it. Consent is shown before you record, automatic transcription happens on arrival for Voice guest submissions, and no submission becomes public automatically.

Troubleshooting

My microphone is not working

Check whether your browser has permission to use your microphone. If microphone access was blocked earlier, open your browser settings, allow microphone access for the recorder page, and reload the page.

If the problem continues, try a different supported browser. You should also check your device settings to confirm that microphone access is enabled for your browser.

My recording did not submit

Check your internet connection first, then try submitting again. If the connection dropped while recording or sending, the submission may not have completed.

If the recorder lets you review the audio again, confirm that the recording is still there before retrying. If the problem keeps happening, contact the organisation that shared the recorder link.

Consent should appear before recording starts. If you were able to proceed without seeing consent language, stop and contact the organisation that shared the recorder link.
