Review AI narration privately before you approve an episode edition
Use the episode workspace to listen to AI narration, compare it with your source content, and approve changes before anything moves forward. AI narration drafts stay private until you review and approve them, and Budapest.fm only labels the edition that is actually AI voiced.
Before you start
- You need at least one episode with audio uploaded.
- You need AI credits in your balance. Each plan includes a monthly allowance: 250 on Solo, 1,000 on Slate, and 3,000 on Syndicate. You can add prepaid credits from the pricing page.
- Standard episode uploads are opt-in for AI processing.
- You see and confirm the exact credit quote before any processing starts.
- You need a reusable voice that was created with consent.
What is AI narration review
AI narration is produced inside the private episode workspace, where you can review the draft before you approve it. That gives you a chance to catch pronunciation issues, pacing problems, or places where the narration does not match the original source.
Every AI narration draft remains private until you review and approve it. Nothing publishes automatically as part of this process.
Voice disclosure applies only to the edition that is actually AI voiced. If another edition is not AI voiced, that edition is not labelled.
Review AI narration
Open the episode
Go to the episode you want to review and open its production workspace. You should see the private workspace for that episode rather than a public edition page.
Enter the workspace
Work from the private episode workspace so you can review draft assets before approval. If the episode is eligible for AI production, the workspace will contain the draft materials created for review.
Locate the AI narration draft
Find the AI narration draft for the episode edition you want to check. Make sure you are reviewing the correct edition, especially if the episode has multiple editions in progress.
Review the narration against the source content
Listen to the AI narration from start to finish and compare it with the original script, transcript, or source episode content. Look for missing lines, altered meaning, or sections that no longer sound natural when spoken aloud.
Check voice quality and pronunciation
Focus on names, places, brand terms, and any words that are easy to misread. Also listen for pacing, tone, and consistency so the voice sounds appropriate for the episode.
Confirm or request changes
Approve the narration if it matches your source and sounds right for the edition. If something is off, request changes before approval so the draft can be corrected while it is still private.
Voice disclosure
Voice disclosure helps listeners recognise when they are hearing an AI voice rather than a human recording. That label is applied only to the edition that is actually AI voiced.
If you publish another edition of the same episode without AI-voiced audio, that edition is not labelled. This keeps disclosure accurate at the edition level rather than applying it broadly to every version of the episode.
Check the specific edition you are reviewing before you look for a disclosure label. Only AI-voiced editions receive the label.
What happens next
After you approve the AI narration, Budapest.fm attaches it to the relevant episode edition for the next stage of your workflow. Approval moves the draft forward, but it does not publish the episode automatically.
The private review model does not change after approval. Draft materials remain part of a controlled workflow, and publication still happens only when you choose to publish.

Troubleshooting
The narration sounds wrong
Start by checking the source content you used for the narration review. If the source text or source episode content contains issues, the AI narration may reflect them.
Next, review pronunciation closely, especially for names, acronyms, and unusual terms. If the wording is correct but the output still sounds off, request changes before approval.
I do not see AI narration in the workspace
AI narration requires a reusable voice that was created with consent. If no eligible voice is available, the narration draft may not appear.
Standard episode uploads are also opt-in for AI processing. If AI features are not enabled for that episode workflow, the workspace may not show AI narration.
The voice disclosure label is missing
First, check that you are looking at the edition that is actually AI voiced. Budapest.fm labels only the edition that uses AI-voiced audio.
If you are viewing a different edition of the same episode, that edition will not carry the label unless it is also AI voiced.
